Litter is a blight on our beautiful Ohio landscape. Through the End Littering Initiative, our goal is to keep our community clean and showcase its natural aesthetic.
What is the End Littering Initiative?
The End Littering Initiative is the product of Keep America Beautiful and its commitment to preventing litter and littering behavior across the country. The facts on litter are sobering. According to our most recent Litter Study, there are more than 50 Billion pieces of litter on the ground. That’s 152 pieces of litter for every American. But there is good news. In the past ten years, littering along U.S. roadways is down 54%! Recycling and community clean-up efforts are great methods to counter littering, but the actual battle is removing the behavior behind the act of littering.

Get Involved in Your Community
There are multiple ways you can get involved in the clean-up efforts to Keep Ohio Beautiful. The easiest way is to donate based on one of our several tiers - each of which increases in dollar amount. That money goes towards cleaning tens of thousands of miles of highways, streets, parks, and waterways, educating Ohioans on solid waste management and recycling, and more!
You can also volunteer your time and join our boots-on-the-ground effort to clean up Ohio!
